Dear Hamptons School Community,

As we conclude another remarkable year at The Hamptons School, I am filled with a sense of pride and gratitude for the incredible journey we've shared. This year has been one of growth, learning, and unforgettable moments that have brought our school community closer together.

From the very first day, our halls have been filled with the excitement of new discoveries and the joy of learning. We kicked off the year with our annual Terry Fox Run, where students, staff, and families came together to honor Terry’s legacy and support cancer research.

Orange Shirt Day provided a meaningful opportunity for us to reflect on the importance of reconciliation and understanding. Through heartfelt discussions and activities, our students learned about the history and impact of residential schools, fostering a deeper sense of empathy and respect.

On National Aboriginal Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, we paid tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country. The solemn assembly and the heartfelt performances by our students were a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our veterans.

Our school fun days were a highlight, filled with laughter and teamwork. Whether it was the excitement of jersey day or the creativity displayed during book character day, these days demonstrated the vibrant and joyful community we have here at The Hamptons.

Throughout the year, our Grade Team learning celebration assemblies showcased the learning, talents and achievements of our students. From academic excellence to artistic performances, each assembly was a proud moment for all of us, celebrating the hard work and dedication of our students and staff.

A special shout out goes to Jojo the Duck, who waddled his way into our hearts after hatching in the Kindergarten classroom in May. Jojo's presence became a beloved part of our school, bringing smiles and delight to everyone that had the opportunity to meet him.

As we say goodbye to the school year, we also bid farewell to two cherished members of our staff. Mr. Claussen and Ms. Watson are retiring after years of inspiring and nurturing our students. Their contributions have left an indelible mark on our school, and we wish them all the best in their well-deserved retirements.

To our entire Hamptons School community, thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to making this year so special. Thank you for taking such good care of us, including our final staff luncheon we were able to enjoy at the Cactus Club! I hope you all have a wonderful, restful summer filled with joy and relaxation. I look forward to seeing you all again in the fall for another exciting year of learning and growth.

With sincere gratitude,

Debbie
