Principal’s Message – Friday, November 3
This week at The Hamptons School
HI BARBIE! This week was an exciting one that saw many students and staff celebrating Halloween. If you were present during drop off/pick up or were volunteering you would have seen many characters from Barbie Land teaching and leading the students at The Hamptons School. It was so wonderful to see all the students dressed up in their costumes! In Kindergarten they finished their “This is Me” books and drew a picture of their family.
In Grade One students completed an art project using acrylic paint and two-dimensional shapes to fuse mathematics and art outcomes together in one project. In Grade 2 they sorted objects based on attributes and learned about acrostic poems. Grades 3 and 4 are engaging in either their unit on money or introduction to decimals. They also investigated changes of state in Science with the guiding question “Can one matter change into all three states of matter?”. Students made predictions, observations and used the scientific process to determine the results.
Thank You
A huge thank you to each person who came out this past weekend to volunteer for our bi-annual casino. These funds are such a blessing to our school and we are able to do so many additional in-school curricular related activities and purchase items to complement our learning. We will let you know the total raised once we hear from the AGLC.
Pink Hamptons School Hat
A few weeks ago, a Pink Pompom Hamptons School Logo Hat was found. It was not labelled with a name. This hat would have been purchased last school year. If your child is missing a Hamptons School Pink Pompon Logo Hat please contact the office.
Hamptons School Clothes
Speaking of logos, we recently received our order of Hamptons Shirts/Hoodies etc. Unfortunately, some of these items (those screen printed) were printed by the company with incorrect colors and need to be corrected. We are sorry for the delay in receiving your items.
Remembrance Day
This coming week we will gather as a school community to honor and remember the sacrifices of those who have served our country with unwavering dedication and courage. This Remembrance Day assembly is not just a school tradition; it is a solemn reminder of the enduring values that we uphold at The Hamptons - values of peace, unity, and gratitude.
Fall Break
A reminder that students do not have school Friday, November 10th, Monday November 13th or Tuesday November 14th. We look forward to seeing everyone again on November 15th!
Parent Teacher Conferences

Are you still interested in ordering gift cards to support fundraising efforts at the school? A reminder that they are Due November 8th – there will be no ability for late orders because of fall break and the proximity to Christmas!
