Principal's Message - October 13 2023
Dear Hamptons Parents/Guardians:
This week at The Hamptons School…
This week at The Hamptons School we celebrated the Flames first home game of the year by having a Jersey Day on Wednesday! Grades 3 and 4 tuned in to a Calgary Public Library Session about Keepers of the Land while Kindergarten made art based on the story Leaf Man. The materials they used to create the art was from their fall walk last week. Grades 1s started to explore seeds in Science and Grade 2s are getting ready for their field trip to learning about the people who influenced the settling of Calgary and the Prairies.
Can you help us – please?

Upcoming Student Surveys
This week all students in Kindergarten – Grade 4 are answering perception survey questions. In Kindergarten through to Grade 3 students are answering questions about academics and well-being in CBE generated surveys, and Grade 4 students are completing the OurSCHOOL Survey which has a similar focus on academics and well-being. All surveys are anonymous and the data we gather helps support decisions in relation to our school development plan.
Dressing for the Weather
There is no doubt that we have officially entered the Fall season with cool mornings that sometimes shift to warm afternoons. We are reminding everyone to dress for the weather. It is often very windy on our school grounds and playground and we would rather students be too warm and dress in layers than too cold! We also highly recommend labeling mitts/hats/jackets and other accessories so we can return them if they find their way to the lost and found!
