Student Comments
Why are we running for Terry Fox?
- to honor Terry and everything he started
- to continue Terry’s run
- to help raise money for cancer
- to find a cure for cancer
- because Terry could not finish himself
- to get money to give to other people because there are also children who have cancer
- because Terry wanted to help people be healthy.
School Council Meetings
Our first School Council Meeting was on Wednesday, September 16 at 6:30 pm. We welcomed our new School Council Chair Alisha Virjee.
Ms. Stetz attended the School Council meeting and celebrated her students’ learning by sharing “Brown Bag It.”
During this learning opportunity connected to literacy, community and relationship building, the students created their own Brown Bags, describing who they are:
favorite color, something you like, something you dislike, something you are proud of, your family, your favorite hobby or sport, your favorite animal, something important to you, and your future. All items fit into a brown bag.
The students demonstrated AMAZING CREATVITY, as they personalized their Brown Bags!
